In the world of acquisition: MySpace and Photobucket, Ebay and StumpleUpon

TWire has reported that the social networking website MySpace will be acquiring Photobucket, a popular photo sharing website which allow users use to store images to use on ebay, MySpace, Friendster and the likes. The deal is said to be worth about $US250-300 million.
In other news, ebay, the leader in online auctions, is set to purchase StumbleUpon for $75 million, according to Reuters. StumbleUpon is a web 2.0 review site where users comments and rates websites in a very similar manner as digg.
